JOB OBJECTIVE / FUNCTION:
As Maintenance and Engineering Manager, the incumbent shall be
accountable for managing and maintaining the plant equipment and in
order to produce quality components. Will be responsible for plant
facilities and engineering functions. The incumbent must work with
others employees to identify, plan, complete productive CI projects, and
must work in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
DIMENSIONS:
- Provide Maintenance and Engineering support for Heavy Vehicle Brake
Drum Facility* Manage contract projects, and accountable for plant
layout and infrastructure
NATURE AND SCOPE
The incumbent's position consists of but is not limited to preventive
maintenance, services, installation, troubleshooting, and fabrication
and maintains plant equipment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of production line and final product
function
- Good leadership skills to manage maintenance department

Accountable for the quality of produced components; ensuring the process
used builds a quality part
- Possess an understanding of Medium Voltage
3 Phase and Single Phase Power Systems
- Maintain, support, and
troubleshoot PLC's and the electrical support for the production line,
using electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics

Process improvements
- Work with robots and CNC controls
- Recommend
suppliers and place purchase requisitions for parts from suppliers

Inspect incoming parts to ensure compliance with proper specifications

Familiar with Allen Bradley, PLC Support Software, Word Processing,
Spreadsheets
- Be an effective team member and help others within the
product teams as needed
- Working Expert in Controls
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency of industrial, electrical, electronic systems and machine
tool controls such as: electronic motors, programmable logic controllers
(Allen Bradley), and instrumentation.
- Capable of reading and
understanding blueprints.
- Review and adhere to safety policies and
procedures including (but not exclusive to) proper lifting, lift truck
operation, lockout-tagout, handling, and storage procedures.
- Maintain
excellent housekeeping in work area and on production line on a daily
basis.
- Overtime expectations apply as necessary.

weighing up to 75 lbs.
Understanding of units of measurement such as torque, voltage, pressure,
force, and flux in metric and English units. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to
adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work area is a general plant-type environment.
EDUCATION AND SPECIAL SKILLS:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent 4-year program in Engineering is
required.
EXPERIENCE:
Approximately 3-5 years of experience in a production support role
within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
